What if D Rose never tore his ACL? Short answer. The Bulls easily take care of Philly and Boston before losing to Miami in the ECF. Going a bit deeper, it’s likely that a Rose-led Bulls team would have thrashed Boston in Round 2 and led to the end of the Big 3 era then and there. None of this re-opening of the window. KG would have retired, Pierce would’ve signed with a contender, JET, Bass and Courtney Lee are never signed and the team goes the way of Orlando.

So much talk today about Rondo’s ACL ending the Big 3 era in Boston when Rose’s ACL is the only reason Ainge puts the team back together last summer. Thoughts?

They had Chauncey, Rip, Tayshaun, Ben Wallace, Okur and a rookie named Darko. They traded for Rasheed at the deadline and went on to upset the Lakers for the title. What if Detroit drafted Melo instead of Darko?
